- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a requirement to purchase the following TSI items: 1) TSI Model 3480 Electrospray Aerosol Generator; 2) TSI Model 3085 Nano DMA (2 to 150 nm); 3) TSI Model 3025 A-S Ultrafine Condensation Particle Counter with Fast Scanning EPROM; and 4) TSI Model 390063 GEMMA Software. Currently the aerosol laboratory at NIOSH's National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory uses aerosol equipment manufactured, sold and supported by TSI Incorporated. The equipment to be purchased under this action must interface directly and be compatible with existing equipment. Some items being purchased are sold as options fro our existing instruments that will allow extending their function to be able to generate and measure nanoscale particles. If there are organizations who believe they can offer the listed equipment, they may respond within 10 days after publication of this notice. Responses shall be submitted to: Kimberly P. Groves (M/S 1019), Reference: 000HCCC3-2005-19587, DHHS, PHS, CDC, 1095 Willowdale Road, Morgantown, WV 26505. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if alternate souces exist, therefore, no solicitation is available. This notice is issued for informational purposes only.
