Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking letters of intent to propose on the upcoming GOES-R Program Definition and Risk Reduction (PDRR) solicitation. A FedBizOpps notice was posted on 29 Nov 2004 (Reference-Number-NE-EK0000-5-00033) asking for acquisition strategy recommendation white papers from industry and announcing an Industry Day for 13 Dec 2004. That Industry Day was held, and documents resulting from that event are found at http://osd.goes.noaa.gov/. Subsequently, and as discussed at that event, a partial draft RFP for the GOES-R PDRR effort was released for industry recommendations on 30 Dec 2004, and a more complete draft RFP (RFP No. DG133E-05-RP-1034) was released on 28 Jan 2005 (with recommendations due to the Government by 17 Feb 2005). All of these documents are available at http://osd.goes.noaa.gov/. Release of the final RFP is anticipated on or about 15 Mar 2005. At this time, the Government is seeking to identify sources who intend to submit a proposal as prime offerors for the upcoming GOES-R PDRR acquisition (RFP No. DG133E-05-RP-1034). Accordingly, any source which intends to submit a proposal in response to the upcoming GOES-R PDRR RFP is invited to notify the contracting officer of its intent by letter on or before 17 Feb 2005. The Government may hold one-on-one meetings with intended offerors to allow offerors to elaborate or explain any recommendations they may make in response to the draft RFP. Potential offerors should visit the GOES-R website at http://osd.goes.noaa.gov/ from time to time, as the Government may post additional information or documents there. Release of the final RFP will be accompanied by another FedBizOpps notice.
