Description

The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment and constructing a floodwater retarding structure in Holmes County, Mississippi. Principal features of the work include clearing and grubbing, excavation, backfill, embankment , engineering fabric, filter stone, stone protection, lined cylinder concrete pressure pipe, concrete work, dewatering, water control, topsoil, fertilizing, seeding, mulching, lime treatment, miscellaneous metals, slide gate and manually operated gate hois t, providing as-built drawings, using the Government-furnished software (RMS) for electronic exchange of information and management of the contract (See Section 01312 QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM), complying with all requirements of Section 01452 MILESTONE COMPL IANCE REVIEW PROCEDURE (MCRP), storm water pollution prevention and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Plans and Specifications will be available on the Vicksburg Consolidated Co ntracting Office Web Page at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract. Compact discs and hardcopies will not be available. Issue date on or about 25 Mar 2005. Bid opening date on or about 26 April 2005. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT.
