- NOAA, National Marine Mammal Laboratory has a requirement for observers and photographer for aerial surveys of bowhead whales in the Northern Bering Sea near St.Lawrence Island, Alaska to photograph bowhead whales. Approximately 24 days dedicated to this effort in April 2005. Flights will be based out of Nome or Gambell Alaska. A survey team is needed that is familiar with Artic conditions, working in a small aircraft finding bowhead whales, and doing vertical photography. Previous experience with this type of study is critical. Bidders must have performed this kind of survey before. All responsible sources may submit a bid for consideration. The Western Administrative Support Center, Acquisition Management Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this acquisition office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
