Description
["INTERESTED CONTRACTORS ARE REQUESTED TO CONTACT COTR TO OBTAIN A COPY OF CD CONTAINING THE DRAWINGS AND OTHER INFORMATION REFERENCED IN THE SOLICITATION. EMAIL IS JAMIE.A.LECOMPTE@NOAA.GOV AND FAX NUMBER IS 843-566-9121."] Drydock Repairs NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown to be performed at the contractor?s facility. Performance period to commence on or about May 9, 2005 and shall be completed on or before July 1, 2005, (54 calendar days). Basic contract items are Drydocking and routine drydock work, temporary services, hull preservation, rescue boat falls testing, sea valve maintenance, z drive overhauls, anchor windlass repairs, bow thruster inspection, propulsion motor repairs, piping modifications, heavy lift crane repairs, winch modification, engine room fan overhauls, HVAC repairs, gage calibration, sewage tank modifications, replacement of 3.5 KHZ transducers, replacement of 12 KHZ transducers, ADCP ocean surveyor installation, removal of 12 KHZ transducer, seawater sampling sea chest preservation, survey, and option items, engine room supply ducting renewal, ventilation cleaning, sacrificial anode replacements, mess deck renewal, and steel modifications. NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown will be available for inspection on March 24-25, 2005 at the Pier ?PaPa?, former Charleston Naval Base, Charleston, SC. Appointments and arrangements for the inspection may be made by contacting the COTR at (843) 297-3426. Drawings, pictures and detailed specifications will be provided as a part of the solicitation. Characteristics of the NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown: Length Overall ? 274 feet ? 0 inches; Beam (Molded) ? 52 feet ? 6 inches; Draft (Navigational) ? 19 feet ? 0 inches; Displacement (FL) ? 3250 LT; Displacement (LS) ? 2100 LT; Gross Tonnage ? 3180 G.T.; Depth to Main Deck ? 26 feet ? 6 inches. This is a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible small business sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. Copies of the solicitation will only be available on line. All interested businesses shall download the solicitation after 3/1/05.
