- The Mark Twain National Forest is soliciting for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity service contract with a firm qualified to provide cultural resources inventory services which will cover the following districts/units in Missouri: Fredericktown; Salem/Potosi; Doniphan/Eleven Point; Poplar Bluff; Houston/Rolla; Willow Springs; Ava; and Cassville. This solicitation will have two line items (Complete survey methodology and Prescribed burn methodology) for each district/unit. The Forest Service anticipates making multiple awards from this solicitation. To determine which contractor will be awarded specific task orders, the COR will request the following information from each of the successful contractors: Availability of contractor to perform task; Anticipated performance time; and Cost. Contracts will be awarded for a base year period with four additional one year periods. The solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps on or about March 11, 2005. A preproposal meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on March 22, 2005 at the Supervisor's Office, Mark Twain National Forest, 401 Fairgrounds Road, Rolla, MO. Contractors are strongly urged to attend this meeting. Attendance will be noted. The purpose of this meeting is to (1) review the requirements for the performance-based service contract type of contracting; (2) to discuss the format for submitting proposals; (3) to discuss the variability of site distribution and land forms across the forest; and (4) to discuss the evaluation process. This project is set aside for small businesses.
