- Description
- The purpose of this acquisition is to provide services for fuels reduction and forest health. All sawlog merchangable material to be removed will be purchased from the Government and paid for a at lump sum value according to FS-2400-2. The contractor shall develop and submit a treatment plan and schedule to accomplish the project objectives, and organize and direct all of the equipment and personnel needed to fully accomplish the work. The contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work required. The project area contains an estimated 351 acres of sawlog material removal and POL service activity on the South Park Ranger District of the Pike National Forest 4.5 miles south and east of the town of Lake George. This is a performance based acquisition requiring submision of data to support the following evaluation factors: Past Performance, Experience, Treatment Plan and Schedule, Quality Control Plan, Enhancement of local and small business employment opportunities (Public Law 106-291). The period of performance is approximately 120 calendar days. A site visit will be held April 20, 2005 at 9:00 at the Lake George Work Center.
