SPACER 10TH STAGE - DESC: Item 0001; NSN: 2840-01-159-9639RV; P/N: 661494; SPACER ASSY, 10TH STG, COMP ROTOR. ITEM IS A ROTATING MEMBER OF THE ENGINE. OUTSIDE DIAMETER IS PRECISION-MACHINED. SNAP DIAMETERS ARE CLOSE TOLERANCE TO MEET THE STRINGENT BALANCE AND FIT LIMITS; FUNCTION: ACTS AS A SPACER BETWEEN THE 10TH & 11TH STG COMP DISKS; DIMENSIONS: APPROX. 2.296 INCHES WIDE X 19.330 INCHES DIA. MFG DIMS ARE CRITICAL; MTL: STEEL; APPL TO: TF33-P5/9/102 ENGS, C-18/C-135 AIRCRAFT; DEST: TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032; DELIVERY: BY JUN 2006; QUANTITY: MIN 8, MED 17, MAX 21 EA. Qualification requirements: This is a competitive item reserved for small businesses and sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on becoming qualified. The requirements of FAR 9.202(a)(1) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. Qualified sources are: Aero Precision 0ZTJ5, Grosite Ind 02382, Atlantic Mch Tool 02403, Flanagan Bros 06959, Dover Tool 1U666, Demusz 2V116, Birken Mfg Co 31340, Beacon Ind 32816, Union Mch 51992, Space Craft 53385, Jet Industries 59593. Only government/commercial new & unused surplus material is acceptable. The approximate response date will be 21 Apr 2005. The anticipated award date is 6 May 2005. Data package will be provided to approved sources and First Article requirements will apply. Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a bid. Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
