- Description
- The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is seeking a contractor to provide technical services for National Resources Inventory activities in Eastern Idaho. The objective of this solicitation is to acquire specified inventory data on two data points in each of 29 primary sample units (PSU) (58 data points) located in Bear Lake(14 PSU), Bonneville(6 PSU), and Twin Falls (9 PSU) counties, Idaho. Required data includes: landscape and soils, ecological site information, rangeland health, invasive/noxious plant presence, disturbance indicators, conservation practices and conservation needs, plant composition and patterns, plant production, cover, density, and height. All data will be collected in accordance with, ?Instructions, 2005 NRI Rangeland Field Study. The 2004 Instructions are currently available at the following website: http://www.ftw.nrcs.usda.gov/nri/2004range/2004range.htm. The 2005 Instructions will be posted when available. Only minor differences are anticipated between the 2005 and 2004 Instructions. A NRCS Soil Scientist or other resource specialist will be teamed with the contractor to assist in location of PSU?s and points and collection of data. The Contractor will be responsible for the rangeland data. A Performance Based Services Contract is anticipated. Bid packages will be available on FedBizOpps on or about March 23, 2005. Bids are due at 2:30 p.m. local time on April 22, 2005. The price range for this solicitation is between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
