Description
The government is issuing this Request For Information (RFI) to solicit responsible sources for the purpose of providing operations, maintenance and training support services in support of the MCDLP. The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM/ PMTRASYS), as the material developer, provides systems engineering, integration and installation, operations and maintenance, and training support services for the Marine Corps Distance Learning Program (MCDLP). The MCDLP is the acquisition program that supports the Marine Corps College of Continuing Education (CCE) in its mission to deliver distance training and education to approximately 150,000 distance learning students annually who are located at duty stations around the world. The purpose of this effort is to provide operations and maintenance support for the infrastructure component that has been fielded to Marine Corps installations and supports MCDLP customers and their students worldwide. As part of this RFI, the Marine Corps System Command, Program Manager for Training Systems (PMTRASYS), releases a DRAFT Statement of Work and DRAFT Section L and Section M for industry comment. The vendor should supply comments to the documents indicating ability to meet specified requirements, specific items requiring clarification for responsive industry proposal, and specified requirements which un-necessarily drive system procurement or lifecycle cost. Received comments will be considered by the Government as a basis for revising the subject documents. Comments will not be directly responded to but may be addressed collectively at a future date during or prior to solicitation. These documents and all future documents are available for download from the PM TRASYS website, Business Opportunities Division at: http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/trasys/trasysweb.nsf/All/B3C9089505B12F5C85256D98004BC152. An Industry Day will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2005 in the Quantico area. Specifics about the exact time and location will be posted on the PM TRASYS website as soon as they are available. This request for comment in no way implies either implicitly or explicitly, that respondents will be compensated in any way by the US Government for information or materials provided. It does not constitute a solicitation and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. All information provided becomes USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. Submissions are due on or before close of business April 1st, 2005. Submissions received after this date may or may not be reviewed. Responses will be submitted via email only.
