Description
Questions and answers pertaining to Solicitation FA4486-05-R-0005 1) T-572, can the door be put on the outside of the facility? Answer: YES. NOTE: If the door is to be installed on the inside exact, dimensions of existing door do not have to be met, would like to see submittals first. 2) T-606, Just to clarify, the minimum height of the only door being replaced must be 14' Confirmation: YES 3) B-572, there is no space to install the door on the inside of the building because there is a mezanine floor in the way. Should the contractor do the necessary modifications in order to accomodate the new door. Answer: YES, if the door is going on the outside. At this point it looks like outside installation is the preferable method. 4) Bldg T-216 has five roll-up doors. Scope of work states to remove and replace four doors. Please clarify and indicate which are to be removed. Answer: Only four doors, entry door, first door on left as you enter the building, both tire shop doors. 5) Bldg T-611, Two doors on the east side of the building have block glass windows located above the doors. Are the they to be replaced with CMU block? Answer: NEGATIVE. Just the one at T-606 6) We don't have any indication of where we're going to get power for the doors and the location of the panels. Answer: Power requirements are not available in T-611; therefore, use standard mechanical rolling doors instead. 7) Do we have to install a safety switch on each door. Answer: All roll-up doors must have safety switches and a manual chain as well 8) Which is the voltage and the Cycles. Answer: all electrical door motors will be 50Hz 9) In the existing panels, are there spare circuit breakers. Answer: T-715 existing electrical panel is located within 15ft of existing door and spare breakers are available. T-216 3 existing doors are all electrical operated and can be tied into the existing electrical panels. One (1) electrical door was replaced with a manual door, but was at one time electric. New conduit would have to be run and wire pulled to power this door and spare breaker is available.
