- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2, Albuquerque, New Mexico intends to issue a Request for Proposal 201815R003 to furnish all labor, equipment and materials to furnish and install fiberglass-reinforced plastic (composite) sheet piling seawalls and breakwater structures including tiebacks and appurtenances at the Matagorda Island National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) located in Calhoun County, Texas. The project is located on the south end of Matagorda Island adjacent to an existing boathouse and pier. The period of performance is 60 days. This solicitation is solicited unrestricted full and open competition. A firm fixed priced contract will be issued. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Proposal evaluation will be on a Best Value Process (Technical, Past Performance and Price). Bonding will be required. This solicitation will be available via the electronic commerce websites: http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov approximately 15 days after the announcement date, or by March 11, 2005. Prospective Offeror's must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for award. A pre proposal site visit is planned and further details will be included in the solicitation package.
