- The Defense Distribution Center (DDC) has a requirement for a contractor to provide the personnel and equipment necessary to perform the clean up operation, submit a Clean Up Work Plan for approval by the Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin, Tracy, CA, Safety and Environmental personnel, perform clean up and removal of contaminated sandblast grit, and upon request, provide documentation or other evidence of compliance with regulatory requirements. Sand blast grit is considered hazardous and the removal shall comply with Depot Environmental office, Federal, State and Local regulations. Contractor provides all supervision, material, equipment and labor to clean up and remove sand blast grit. Sandblast grit was tested and the sand was contaminated with chromium, lead and Barium. Contractor will obtain all required permits and chain-of-custody form required for hauling hazardous material off of Government property and to disposal site. It is anticipated that a solicitation (RFQ) will be available on or about March 7, 2005 and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website. This requirement will be a 100% set aside for small business concerns. To receive awards resulting from this solicitation, your company MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Registration is available via the Internet at www.ccr.gov.
