Description
ISSUE DATE: MARCH 16, 2005. Solicitation HSCGG1-05-R-3WK121. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal required to perform masonry repairs at the Bldg. 8, USCG ISC Boston, Boston, MA (Suffolk County). Repairs include: Repointing existing exterior walls, replacing 2 wythes of brick where cracks are indicated, including 5 new jack arches at the east elevation; Providing new carbon-fiber reinforced plastic reinforcing rods from grade to the bottom of the cornice coping at the NE and NW corners of the building; Installing new steel tie rod bracing at the underside of the top floor terra-cotta ceiling vaults in the NW and NE stairwells; Patching interior masonry cracks; Replacing cracked, damaged or missing bricks; and related incidental work. NAICS code is 238140, with a size standard of $12M. Solicitation will be issued on March 16, 2005, and may be accessed for download beginning on the date of issue at the following site: http://www.eps.gov . Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this web site. The due date for receipt of proposals is April 15, 2005. Performance is estimated to be a total of 165 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is a Request for Proposals with the following evaluation factors to determine Best Value to the government: Past Performance/Similar Experience; Technical Approach to Masonry Repairs; Quality Control; and, Price. All relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings and any amendments may be accessed for download at no charge beginning on the date of issue at the following site: http://www.eps.gov.
