- Description
- The United States Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region, Directorate of Contracting, Yuma intends to negotiate a six (6) month extension of contract DAAD01-96-C-0019 for Installation Support Services-Public Works and Family Housing with Pyramid Services Incorporated, Post Office Box 727, Alamogordo, New Mexico 88311-0727 on an other than full and open competition basis. The proposed contract will prov ide technical and professional personnel for operations, maintenance, repair and minor construction/alteration of real property facilities to include Family Housing and equipment in place. The performance period is 01 April 2005 through 30 September 2005. The follow on action for these services is currently in Phase I evaluation. This extension is necessary due to delays in the acquisition process for the follow on contract. This proposed contract extension would provide continued performance for the th ird and fourth quarter of fiscal year 2005. The third and fourth quarters historically have been the busiest and critical performance period under this contract. Pyramid is the current installation support contractor performing the services and it is no t reasonable to expect any other contractor to be able to mobilize and be able to provide continuity of services during this period. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This no tice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider all proposals received within 30 days of the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon r esponses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government anticipates issuing a contract modification to the existing contract within 30 days of this notice. See Note 22.
