- This project will be solicited as FA4486-05-R-0007 Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity for Demolition and Abatement of various buildings at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. This project will include but is not limited to accomplish demolition work and abatement of lead based paint (LBP), lead containing materials, and asbestos containing materials. Work will also include site restoration, to include seeding and grading after demolition of minor facility restoration, following abatement and selective demolition. The performance period for this contract is one year and four option years. The guaranteed minimum is $1,000 and the maximum is $1,000,000 for the base year and for each option year. Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures will be utilized for this procurement. The North American Industry Classification System assigned to this acquisition is 238910. This procurement is RESTRICTED to Mainland Portugal and its territories in accordance with the Bilateral Agreement between Portugal and the United States dated 1995. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposal (RFP) may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Government. A pre-proposal conference and a site visit will be held at Lajes Field on or about 21 Jul 04. The RFP package will be available on the Internet only. The request for Proposal (RFP) package shall be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. This solicitation, plans, specifications, or drawings and statement of work will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on the EPS are urged to enroll on the website mailing list for this acquisition.
