- NOTE: The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within seven days after date of publication of this synopsis will be cconsidered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, and using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N65538-05-Q-0050, and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-27. The associated NAICS code is 541330. Line item 0001 is as follows: Professional Technical Services Contractor Support for Shift Operations Management System (eSOMS). Support includes software installs; administrator and database user training; establishment of database merger process for use by on-site personnel; database merger training; establishment and piloting of a US Navy baseline configuration and development and integration work to implement future ! modules of eSOMS. Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer, Central Contractor Registration, DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration apply to this solicitation. Offers are due on 02 MAR 2005, to the Naval Sea Logistics Center (Code 02), 5450 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, by 4:00pm, Eastern Standard Time.
