Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The U.S. Geological Survey office at 677 Ala Moana Boulevard, Suite 415, Honolulu, HI 96813, Branch of Telecommunication Services, has identified a requirement to purchase one (1) waterproof downhole camera meeting the following salient characteristics: 1. Camera shall be able to be used in wells 4-12 inches in diameter. 2. Unit shall have at least 1500 feet of cable and withstand at least 500 feet of submergence. 3. Camera shall include a motorized winch that can be used to raise and lower camera, powered by 12V or a user-supplied inverter with a 12V input. 4. Output camera image to a LCD monitor and VCR hookup. LCD shall be color and have a viewable size of 5-6 inches. 5. Capability to display camera depth on LCD and video record. 6. Lights adequate to illuminate borehole up to 12 inches in diameter. 7. Complete unit shall weigh less than 150 pounds and can be readily transported to remote sites in a small truck or SUV. In addition to providing pricing, offerors shall include the following description for the product with their quotations: Product Name: Manufacturer's Name: Address: Product make, model, or catalog description: Offerors shall also be responsible for submitting all additional information on the above product necessary for the Government to determine whether the product offered meets the salient characteristics as listed above. If they have provided a camera of this type to previous clients, contact information shall be provided. Quotations are due by 4 PM local time, Tuesday, March 1, 2005 to the Contract Specialist in Sacramento, CA identified below. Offers received after this time and date will not be considered. Offers are preferred by electronic means (email and fax), but are accepted by mail. Oral quotations will not be accepted. Prospective contractors are advised that the following provisions are applicable to this solicitation document.
