Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, RFQ Q5120055126, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The National Park Service intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract for hauling services. This is a Commercial Item Acquisition, FAR Part 12 applies. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-25(a). The applicable NAICS is 484110 the size standard is $21.5 million and is set aside for small business. Statement of Work: Contractor will be required to provide all equipment and labor necessary to provide 20-yd dump trucks with drivers capable of hauling various fill materials, nothing larger than 12" rock, from March 2005 thru March 2006. Provide a maximum of five 20-yard dump trucks at any given time, given 24 hours notice. Anticipated quantity is 2,800 hours. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered if timely received. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Instructions to Offerors-Commercial 52.212-1, applies to this acquisition. 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial items applies, while price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price and other evaluation described in the solicitation. 522.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement statutes or executive orders commercial items applies to this solicitation. Evaluation factors for award: Award of contract will be evaluated on price related factors and past performance.
