- The work to be performed consists of the following: (1) surface preparation and coating exterior and interior surfaces of the two rapid mix tanks and the two solids clarifier tanks, (2) removing and replacing overhead walkway plating, (3) surface preparation and coating of existing walkway frame, supports and handrails, and (4) removal, handling and disposal of metal precipitates that may contain cadmium and other hazardous substances. The work to be performed is located at the Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel Project, approximately 2 miles northeast of Leadville, Colorado in Lake County. The solicitation packages will be available on or around March 17, 2005. The bid opening date is tentatively scheduled for April 19, 2005 at the Bureau of Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. There is no charge for the first copy; additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 per set. All reasonable sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 238320. The small business size standard is $12.0 Million. This acquisition is unrestricted. This specifications and drawings will be not posted to the internet; however a complete solicitation package is available in hard copy. To request a hard copy of the solicitation, contractors must fax a request to (406) 247-7798, Attn: Hart BlackEagle. The request must include contractor's name, address, phone/fax numbers, tax identification number and their Dun and Bradstreet number. Note 1: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration.
