- This market survey is hereby amended to correct a document spacing error as follows: Sources Sought The US Army ARDEC Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce is seeking interested and qualified sources for the development of procedures and processes to safely generate and manufacture a medium caliber ammunition percussion primer with non-toxic energetic materials. The non-toxic material shall be a government identified MIC composition (Metastable Intermolecular Composites) consisting of nano sized aluminum fuel with a Molybdenum or Bismuth based oxidizer and high explosive gas generate additive. The final product will be a variation of the M115 percussion primer with a charge weight of approximately 200mg and shall be manufactured with the intent of minimizing transition costs from the current high volume processes utilized on medium caliber primer production lines. Responsible, interested sources are asked to submit their qualifications and capabilities including information, as applicable, on prior production history of medium caliber percussion primers for the US Army and other customers, and a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimate of the development duration and development costs. ROM costs should only include labor and tooling costs. Any responsible/interested sources shall submit the above information no later than 15 days of this notice to: US Army ARDEC, ATTN: Mr. Jeffrey McEnteer AMSTA-AQ-APF, Bldg 9, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 or submit the information electronically to the Contract Specialist at: jmcente@pica.army.mil. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement.
