PART: U.S. GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENTS SUBPART: SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIAL CLASSCOD: 6610- Flight Instruments OFFADD: AFFTC/PKDD Directorate of Contracting, 5 S. Wolfe Ave., Edwards AFB, CA 93524 SUBJECT: AIR DATA BOOM REF NO.: F4LMCA05000025 DUE: 22 FEB 2005 POC: Judy K. Pace, 661-275-7850 (fax) DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Spaceage Control Inc., 38850 20th Street East, Palmdale CA 93550-3402. This acquisition is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 334511. The following item will be procured: This acquisition is to acquire Air Data Boom, Total Air Temperature Sensor, Test Fixture Set, Probe Cover, Vane Cover, and Vane Calibration Sensor. The SAC Air Data Boom provides precise pitot and static air data accuracies .5% FS and 170 deg rotation. AOA/AOS vanes required to meet program data qualification requirements specified by Boeing and USAF. This Air Data Collection System will be used to obtain airspeed, altitude, angle of attack, angle-of-sideslip and total air temperatures needed for aircraft flight test data instrumentation analysis. The flight test data will be used for qualification validation testing of new C-130 AMP Smart Probe equipment. Due to the urgency of the requirement, items must be delivered before 1 AUG 05 in order to meet schedule. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is February 23, 2005. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, February 22, 2005. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 5 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
