Description
The purpose of this Screening Information Request (SIR) is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform renovation work on the Administrative Wing. The Screening Information Request (SIR) is 100% set-aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (NAICS 236210). Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB) competing on this acquisition shall be in good standing with the Small Business Administration. Certification documents are required for award consideration. Description of Work: This project renovates the first and second floors of the Administrative Wing at the Longmont Air Route Traffic Control Center. Work includes removal and replacement of existing finishes, mechanical systems (fan coil units, fire alarm system, air handling units), installation of new fire suppression system, electrical systems (lighting, power, lan, telephone), miscellaneous demolition and construction of new office spaces and walls. Work includes removal of asbestos contaminated material. Contract duration for completion of all work shall be 240 calendar days. No work shall be scheduled or take place during the week of and the weekend preceeding and following the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years holidays. Requests for the solicitation package must be submitted in writing to Angela Mihalek, FAA-AIM Inc., ANM-53, 1601 Lind Ave., SW, Renton, WA 98055; or by fax at: (425) 227-1055. A mandatory site visit will be held on March 8th, 10am, at the Longmont ARTCC. The bid close date will be March 24th. Solicitation packages will be available on or about February 25th. CLAUSES AND PROVISIONS 3.3-1 Clauses and Provisions Incorporated by Reference (September 2002) This screening information request (SIR) or contract, as applicable, incorporates by reference one or more provisions or clauses with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. Upon request, the Contracting Officer will make the full text available, or offerors and contractors may obtain the full text via Internet at: http//fast.faa.gov (on this web page, select "toolsets", then "procurement toolbox") 3.3.1-10 Availability of Funds (APR 1996) 3.9.1-1 Disputes (N0V 2002) 3.9.1.2 Protest After Award (AUG 1997) 3.9.1.3 Protest (NOV 2002) 3.2.2.3-41 Performance of Work by the Contractor (APR 1996) The Contractor shall perform on the site, and with its own organization, work equivalent to at least 15% of the total amount of work to be performed under the contract. This percentage may be reduced by a supplemental agreement to this contract if, during performing the work, the Contractor requests a reduction and the Contracting Officer determines that the reduction would be to the advantage of the Government. Prospective offerors are hereby notified that employees of A.I.M. Incorporated, a private contractor to the Government, may be used in evaluating offers received under this SIR.
