- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is EA133E-05-RQ-1234. NOAA, National Climatic Data Center, Asheville, NC intends to purchase the following: (1) Brocade 24000 Director, 64-Port Switch with software licenses and Standard Support (1 each); included Software shall include Web license, Zoning license, Fabric license, Extended Fabric license, Fabric Watch license, Remote Switch license, Trunking license, Security license, and Performance Monitor license; and, (2) Optical SFP Interface Module, 2GB (64 each). Required delivery is 4 weeks after award, F.O.B. Destination NCDC Asheville, NC. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 334119 with a size standard of 1000 employees. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-27. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. Award will be made to the responsible, responsive offeror whose offer will result in the lowest technically acceptable price. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items must be submitted with quote. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, apply.
