Description

The Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Riverdale, MD, intends to acquire Radio Frequency Identification Devices and readers for use in sheep and goat identification. Item 1 - Estimated 1,000 High frequency (13.56 MHz) RFID tags; Item 2 ? Estimated 200 High frequency (9.15 MHz) Active RFID tags; Item 3 ? Estimated 1000 Half Duplex (134.2 KHz RFID tags; and Item 4 ? Estimated 1000 Full Duplex-b (134.2 KHz) RFID ear tags. Additional accessories include handheld readers, chute type individual readers, alley way type high throughput readers, applicators etc. The tags must be an appropriate size for use in sheep and goats. The tag order information will be entered by the Contractor through an APHIS web page into an APHIS database. First article samples will be required. This is solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside. FOB Destination. This a firm fixed price contract. The solicitation, #RFP 20-M-APHIS-05, is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Paper copies of the RFP and/or amendments will not be issued. The solicitation and the specifications will be made available electronically at this website only. All changes to the pre-solicitation notice, solicitation and any attachments shall be posted to the website at: www.FedBizOpps.gov. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFEROR REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFEROR?S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERDIOCIALLY FOR UPDATES. The offeror must submit a street mailing address and an email address (if available) in all correspondence in reference to this requirement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted to this website on or about February 25, 2005.
