- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, Federal Protective Service (FPS) intends to procure the services of a company that can provide and install emergency equipment and other vehicle accessories applicable to police awareness, according to manufacturer's installation specifications. All employees of the company will have to obtain a security clearance issued by the Federal Government. The company's facility will also obtain a security clearance. The contractor will provide 24 hour emergency contact information and be available to trouble shoot any problems with emergency equipment or radio, related to installation of the same. The contractor will pick up and drop off vehicles for service or installation from the Federal Protective Service, Region XI, Southeast Federal Center, 3rd & M Streets, SE, Washington, D. C. or other locations within the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Northern Virginia. At a minimal, the DHS/ICE/FPS has 6 and a maximum of 10 vehicles that need the necessary conversions. The contract will be awarded for a base year of 12 months with four one-year options, for a total period of performance of five years. This procurement is a set-aside for small business companies. Companies submitting proposals for this procurement must have a full production office at the time this solicitation is posted, located within a fifty mile radius of Washington, D. C. The RFP will be issued on or about February 22, 2005, through the Fed Biz Ops. To receive a copy of the RFP, please register online at the website, www.eps.gov. After you register, you will automatically receive an electronic notice that the solicitation is posted on the website. Telephone requests for a copy of the RFP will not be honored. Once the RFP is posted on the Fed Biz Ops website, the closing date will be March 21, 2005, at 3:30 pm local time.
