Description
Attached is the site visit clause for information on in-processing to attend on Feb. 23rd at 1100PDT. The solicitation is expected to be released 17 February 2005. 52.237-1 --Site Visit (Apr 1984) Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is r easonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where work will be performed. An organized site visit has been scheduled for-- Wednesday 23 February 2005 at 11:00 a.m. PDT In order to participate in the site visit you must send the required documentation outlined below to Carol Stimmel via fax at 503-808-4605 and to Patrick Hunter via fax at 541-374-8761. Please fax the following: the names, companies, positions, and work p hone numbers of individuals who will be attending the site visit, date and place of birth of each individual, and any other information that may be needed for security purposes. This information must be provided at least 24 hours prior to the site visit. Anyone not on the approved list prior to the start time of the site visit will not be allowed through the security gate. In order for foreign nationals to participate in the site visit under Force Protection Condition (FPCON) normal they must send in, along with the aforementioned information, a legible copy of their passport and visa is required seven business days prior to the site visit. This is necessary for security purposes to gain entry to the facility. Further, if the FPCON level is at Alpha or higher the aforementioned information is required seven working days prior to the site visit for processing via the Foreign Disclosure Office with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Headquarters. If the required information is not provided as specified or the individual does not pass the Governments security check, then the said individual will not be permitted to attend the sch eduled site visit. Participants will meet at-- Bonneville Lock and Dam (Meet at the Security Office in the Auditorium Building) Cascade Locks, Oregon Exit 40 off of I-84 East (End of Provision)
