Description
NSN 4920-01-504-5258: The Directorate of Contracting (DOC) Fort Campbell, KY, has a requirement for aircraft navigation and communication test sets. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authorit y of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The DOC intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price, supply-type contract with Tel-Instrument Electronic Corporation located in Carlstadt, New Jersey. Although the test set is assigned a NSN, they are currently unavailable through the supply system. Requirement is for the following item: T-36M CAT IIII NAV/COM Test Set, Part number 90000058, quantity of 14 each. This multi-function set tests both the VOR/ILS and VHF/UHF Communication systems on airc raft. The test set provides a quick, comprehensive, functional, air-to-air/antenna-to-antenna check of aircraft VOR/ILS navigational systems as well as a functional air-to-air/antenna-to-antenna check of the aircraft VHF/UHF and AM/FM communication syste ms. The T-36M provides the signal source/capabilities to do comprehensive bench, and in-aircraft testing of these navigation and communication systems. These tests include the capability to do XMTR power and VSWR measurements. The test set comes comple te with a two year limited warranty. NAICS code for this procurement is 334511 and is to be awarded on an unrestricted basis. This sole source procurement is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Other Than Full and Open Competition. THIS NOT ICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 14 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must b e furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notic e is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Industrial Equipment Technology Inc. Responses are due by 3 March 2005, 2:00 p.m. (CST).
