Description
NSN: 2915-01-310-2888PR, P/N: 1534M60P03, Noun: Temperature Sensor, Fan Temp. Description: The sensor is a temperature sensor and transducer unit for the main engine control of General Electric F-110 aircraft engine. It responds to changes in fan discharge temperature and regulates pressure as a function of discharge temperatures. Dimensions: Apprx 7.250 inches long X 3.5 inches wide with various shapes angle and radii. Material: Aluminum alloy. Destination: FB2039, Acct 09. Delivery: May 2006. Estimated Qty: 16. Qualification Requirements: Due to complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufactures that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, can be considered approved sources for this item. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements will apply to line item 0001 in the solicitation. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 04 March 2005. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 04 April 2005. The anticipated award date will be 15 April 2005. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. There are no data/drawings available for this requirement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with General Electric Aircraft Engines, Cincinnati, OH. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the government. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
