Description
The small business size standard for NAICS 562910, Environmental Remediation Services, is 500 employees. RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ARE DUE 23 February, 2005 at 1400. SOURCES SOUGHT MARKET RESEARCH QUESTIONNAIRE NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SOUTHWEST DIVISION, ENVIRONMENTAL FIXED-PRICE PERFORMANCE-BASED DESIGN-BUILD IDIQ CONTRACT AT VARIOUS NAVAL BASES LOCATED IN SOUTHWEST REGION1. Market Research is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 10 to determine to what extent sources exist to meet the Government?s needs for Performance-Based Design-Build Environmental Remediation services at Various Naval Facilities located in the Southwest region, primarily in California. 2. Work Requirements: The contractor may be required to perform the environmental remedial design and remediation of media contaminated by solvents, petroleum,oils, and lubricants (POL), metals, acids, bases, reactives, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), and pesticides. Along with these more commonly encountered contaminants, a relatively small number of sites may require remediation of radiological or ordnance waste. These contaminants may be present in soils, sediments, groundwater, air, sludge, surface water, or man-made structures. The contaminated sites may be landfills, hazardous waste treatment storage and disposal facilities, tanks, lagoons, fire fighting training areas, or other DOD facilities.3. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: 562910, Environmental Remediation Services- Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. 4. Total Estimated Value: $24 million per year, or $120 million for base plus four options. It is anticipated that the contract workload would be shared among 2 or more contractors.5.
