- This synopsis replaces synopsis W912HQ-05-R-0002. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Office of Safety, Security and Occupational Health at Humphreys Engineer Center (HEC) intends to negotiate a contract on a competitive basis for providing health service sensitive to the needs of employees at two w ork locations; USACE Headquarters (HQ) located at 441 G Street NW, Washington DC and USACE HEC at 7701 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA. This contract will be a Firm Fixed Price contract for a period of one (1) base year with four (4) one (1) year options. T he services provided by the USACE Health Unit under this contract include emergency treatment, fitness for duty examinations, preventive health screening examinations, treatment and/or assessment of on the job illnesses and injuries, authorization for emer gency medical treatment at another facility, employee health maintenance examinations, general medical services which help keep employees at work, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the administration of allergy shots and other immunizations. The Contra ctor shall be responsible, as required by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 CFR Part 1910.1030, for the appropriate handling, labeling and storage of biohazard waste products, as well as for pickup and destruction of such wastes from all locations where contractors staff is stationed. All offerors will be ineligible for award unless they have registered in DOD Central Contractor Registration database at http://www.ccr.gov.
