Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quote W912NS-05-T-0023, the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-27. The North A merican Industry Classification System Code is 334511 and the Business Size Standard is 750 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06615. This requirement consists of 200 printed flex cables which are manufactured by Sikorsky, and they own the drawings. These cables are for repairs to the stablator amplifiers on Blackhawks and Sikorsky also manufactures the stablators. Development and testing costs have been previously incurred for these parts. Requirement consists of the following: (1) 200 each printed wiring flex cables, National Stock number 5998-01-124-5428, Sikorsky part number 70902-01965-104. These parts must meet DMWR 11-6615-306 s pecifications. These parts go into the stablator amplifiers on Blackhawk helicopters, and no substitutions will be accepted. FOB Destination to Springfield, MO 65803. The proposed contract action is for parts for which the Government intends to solici t and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive price quotes. However, all quotes received by March 3, 2005, 5:00PM CST will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competi tive procurement.
