- This announcement constitutes the fulfillment of Public Law 2319 and is the periodic announcement of a Qualification Requirement, which is available for the manufacture of the F-16 Head-up Display (HUD) Diffractive Optics Cover, NSN: 1730-01-492-9912WF, part number 16A12090-1. The Diffractive Optics Cover is a protective cover made of nylon cloth which is used to protect the F-16 Diffractive Optics Holographic (DOH) HUD combiner assembly from damage when the HUD system is not in use. Although the F-16 Logistics Operation Division does not have an immediate requirement, this notification is for market research purposes to identify potential contractors who have the skills, experience, and knowledge required to successfully complete this effort for Hill AFB, Utah and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be accomplished. This is not a request for proposal or invitation for bid. Interested parties may request a source qualification statement from Alissa Dean, (801) 777-8717, alissa.dean@hill.af.mil. Engineering data in support of this synopsis can be purchased by contacting OO-ALC/LGVED, Sheila Gunn. The request can be emailed to Sheila.Gunn@hill.af.mil or faxed to (801)-777-9092. This request for data should contain the synopsis number, a reference to "Sources Sought", a copy of the contractor's DD Form 2345 and a list of the drawings that are needed (the CAGE and/or NSN are also helpful).
