- This is a Sources Sought synopsis. This is not a solicitation. The purpose of this Sources Sought synopsis is to identify other qualified sources prior to the release of any potential solicitaiton to procure the following Cryptograhic COMSEC Equipment item; Requirements contract will be issued for 69 ea, FY05, 10 ea for FY06-FY09, KGR/69B Key Generator Receiver, NSN: 5810-01-492-8450CA, P/N: 0N657103. The KGR/68B Key Generator Receiver is a Type 1 Ground Encryptor/Decryptor used for space command and Telemetry Applications. The current source for this Cryptographic COMSEC Equipment item is L-3 Communications, Inc., Telemetry-East Division, 1515 Grundys Lane, Bristol PA 19007-1506, Cage: 13923. Detailed and technical data and drawings for the manufacture of these Crypotographic COMSEC Equipment items are not available from the Government. Any interested source that can provide this requirement is invited to submit a written qualification package including the following information: 1) contractor name and phone number, 2) a brief statement detailing capabilities to proivde such items, 3) a list of names and phone numbers of references to whom you have provided these items, and 4) type of business. Interested sources are requested to submit a package by close of business 8 Mar 2005, no later than 4:00 p.m. local time. All data received in response to this announcement maked for designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced separately. The Sources Sought announcement is requested for informational purposes only. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this synopsis and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
