- Description
- The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, intends to procure construction services for the Renovation of Buildings 301, 303, 305, and 307 at the National Marine Fisheries Service at Galveston, Texas. Contractor shall be required to furnish all labor, material, equipment and each and every item of expense for the construction of the renovation. This work consists of a base bid and an additive. The base bid will be for the renovation of Buildings 301, 305, and 307 and shall include interior and exterior demolition in the existing buildings, ground floor slabs, and abatement of asbestos materials. The work shall also include replacement of the building?s architectural interior finishes, building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing and electrical systems, interior and exterior trip footings and installation of fire protection systems, communication system, repair and construction a new roof, and HVAC control systems. The bid additive shall be for the renovation of Building 303 and shall include interior and exterior demolition in the existing building, ground floor slabs, and abatement of asbestos materials. Work also includes replacement of the building?s architectural interior finishes, building HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, interior and exterior strip footings and installation of fire protection systems, communication system, repair and construction of a new roof, and HVAC control systems. The contractor will be required to complete the entire work ready for use within four-hundred (400) calendar days from the date of the notice to proceed. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. This is a total small-business set-aside. NAICS code 236220 applies. Estimated construction cost is from $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 Solicitation Number WC133F-05-RB-1025 with specifications and bid documents will be available on or about March 9, 2005. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. The Central Administrative Support Center, Acquisitions Management Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisitions Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR.
