- The Defense Logistics Agency Enterprise Services Office (DES-ACC) intends to award a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract, Under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to: Unisys Government Systems, Inc., 8008 Westpark Drive, Mclean VA 22101. This acquisition is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 541513. The required contract will be for remedial, preventive and miscellaneous hardware maintenance, software maintenance, and Technical Analyst Support for Unisys Automatic Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) and software for the period beginning 1 March 05 through 31 Dec 05. The award will be in support of the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) Fort Belvoir, VA. The contract will include all parts, transportation, travel and labor for the performance of remedial, preventive and miscellaneous services and software support during the principle period of maintenance (PPM) of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday (excluding Federal holidays) and at all times outside the PPM (i.e. services will be required seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day, 365/366 days a year. While the hardware involved with this acquisition may or may not be maintained effectively by different sources, the extensive amount of proprietary software products running on the Unisys systems and the technical support services required to maintain these systems/services make it impossible for any other source to fully meet all of the DTIC?s requirements. The Unisys proprietary software contains trademark information and thus cannot be maintained (updated or upgraded) by other sources. DTIC?s computer facility consists largely of Unisys systems and peripherals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However the Government will consider all responses received by the publication due date of this notice. Responses must be received on or before the close of business 21 Feb 05.
