- Description
- This is a SOLE SOURCE procurement for shipboard repairs for TANO (Original Equipment Manufacturer) field service for Propulsion Control and Monitoring Systems for T-AO class ships. Equipment includes bridge control console, engine room console, tank level indicator system, cargo control console, machine space remote, cargo deck remote, local control panels, ship service generator console, and propulsion control console. This is an Indefinite Delivery Type Contract with a one (1) year base period of performance and four (4) option years. The initial Period of Performance is expected to be 01 Apr 2005 through 31 Mar 2006. This requirement will be solicited as Sole Source RFP, under NAICS Code 336611 with a size standard of 1000 employees. Telephonic requests for the solicitation resulting from this notice will not be accepted. Only written (fax or email) requests will be accepted. The estimated issue date for this solicitation is 16 February 2005. The closing date of the solicitation will be 24 February 05, unless a later date is specified in the solicitation. This requirement will be procured under FAR Part 12. This requirement will be negotiated on an other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1) with L-3 Communications Westwood Corporation TANO-EDI Division, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 14 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
