Description
The Army Contracting Agency  The Americas, Mission Support Division, Fort Sam Houston Texas is seeking to determine whether interest from Industry exists for providing airfreight transportation as required by the Contracting Officer or their designa ted representative. There is currently no requirement for services. This synopsis is to aid the Contracting Officer in determining whether there is interest and capability in Industry to provide air freight transportation services of medical supplies and equipment from the USARSO Field Medical Training Site, Fort Sam Houston, Texas to selected locations in Central and South America and the Caribbean; and, from selected locations in Central and South America and the Caribbean to the USARSO Field Medical Tra ining Site, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Interested sources possessing the capability to provide door-to-door airfreight transportation services should respond to this synopsis to the attention of the Contract Specialist or the Contracting Officer by email at the address above. Telephone inquiries and responses will not be accepted. Air transportation shipments may consist of but are not limited to approximately 35 each 48 x 48 x 40 skid/pallets per one-way trip. Refrigeration may be required to transport c ertain pharmaceuticals during transport and pending customs or country clearance. Interested sources should forward their responses to the following questions to the Contracting Officer or to the Contract Specialist by e-mail. Responses must be received no later than 16 February 2005: (1) Have you performed the type of services referenced above in the past? (2) If yes, provide timeframe for when work was performed. (3) Were these services performed for the U.S. Government? (4) Do your personnel p ossess the necessary certifications and country clearances that may be required? (5) What is your business size and category: Large Business, Small Business, Woman Owned, Disadvantaged, HubZone (state all that apply). The applicable NAICS Code is 48111 2, the SIC is 4512 and the size standard is 1500 employees.
