- The United State Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service, Ketchikan Alaska is interested in the installation and operation of a resistivity counter in a steelhead stream on Prince of Wales Island in Spring 2005. Implementation of the resistivity counter would also entail assistance with setup and training. This project will serve as a technique validation and operational training role prior to potential implementation in other streams. The award will be made on a sole source basis under FAR 13 ? Simplified Acquisition Procedures to InStream Fisheries Research Inc as the Government knows of no other source from whom to acquire this acquisition. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value below $25,000. No solicitation is available. Qualified sources may submit a proposal demonstrating capability and pricing in order to be considered for award. Proposals must be received within 15 days of the date of this notice. Based on responses to this notice, a determination not to compete this proposed award is solely within the discretion of the Government.
