- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award to a small business concern who can provide registered dental assistant services at the Federal Correctional Institution (Terminal Island) located in San Pedro, California. Services will be performed on individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621210 (Size Standard: $6 million). The contract type is a requirements type contract with firm-fixed-unit pricing. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period and four 12 month option periods, if exercised. The successful contractor shall provide services which include, but are not limited to chair-side assistance for all dental procedures, must be certified to perform coronal polishing, licensed to operate radiographic equipment for oral radiography, proficient in basic computer usage skills. The number of hours per week for any service will not exceed thirty (30) hours. The solicitation will be made available on or about April 5, 2004, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposal is on or about April 20, 2004. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
