Description
This procurement is a HUBZone Set-Aside. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about January 24, 2005 at http://www.eps.gov/. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. THIS REQUIREMENT IS HUBZONE SET-ASIDE FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS AND WILL BE EVALUATED USING PAST PERFORMANCE AS AN EVALUATION FACTOR. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs to the USCGC CLAMP (WLIC-75306) including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: (1) Welding Repairs; (2) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts; (3) Clean and Inspect Fuel Tanks; (4) Renew Water Lubricated Shaft Bearings; (5) Renew Shaft Strut Barrel; (6) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propellers; (7) Perform Minor Repair and Reconditioning of Propeller; (8) Clean, Inspect, and Test Grid Coolers; (9) Overhaul and Renew Valves; (10) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rudder Assembly; (11) Rebuild Rudder Stock; (12) Renew Rudder Lower Bearing Trunk; (13) Preserve Barge Spuds, Spud Wells and Renew Spud Well Liners; (14) Inspect Various Deck Fittings; (15) Ultrasonic Testing; (16) Renew Tender Towing Knee Pads; (17) Preserve Barge Deck; (18) Preserve Underwater Body; (19) Preserve Freeboard of Tender and Barge; (20) Provide Temporary Logistics; (21) Renew Tender Exterior Doors; (22) Routine Drydocking; (23) Protect Weatherford CG300 Hydraulic ATON Crane; (24) Renew Fuel Piping; (25) Clean Ship Board Ventilation Systems; (26) Inspect and Overhaul Duplex Sea Strainers; (27) Renew Keel Cooler Piping; (28) Draft Mark Painting Barge and Tender; (29) Renew Tender and Barge Air Receivers and Associated Piping; (30) Preserve and Renew Barge Transducer and Hull Ring; (31) Preserve and Renew Tender Transducer and Hull Ring; (32) Overhaul Stern Tube Seal Assemblies; (33) Renew Shaft Covering. The vessel is a 75 Foot river Buoy tender and 68 Ft Barge. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. Vessel's homepier is located at GALVESTON, TX. All repairs are to be performed at the CONTRACTOR'S FACILITY. The place of performance for this vessel is geographically restricted from Brownsville, TX to Carrabelle, FL via Intra Coastal Waterways. The performance period is FOURTY-NINE (49) calendar days beginning on or about May 16, 2005. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For information concerning this acquisition contact the Contracting Official listed above. Numbered Notes 27 applies. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (05-JAN-2005).
