- The Marine Corps Regional Contracting Office, Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking conference and hotel space located in the Washington, D.C., area in support of the Freedom Awards ceremony conducted by the the Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Tentative dates are 19 - 22 Oct 05 or 12 ? 15 Oct 05. The ceremony will require audiovisual support, space for 500-700 attendees and a meal for the attendees. In addition, 120 guest rooms should be set-aside for the attendees. Numerous senior officers and civilian officials of the Department of Defense will be in attendance. Because of this, the venue will be subject to a security audit by one or more federal agencies prior to the event and additional hotel security personnel will be required. NAICS code 721110 with a small business size standard of $6 million will apply. The solicitation is issued under simplified acquisition procedures. In addition to price, award will be based on past performance and s! uitability of the facility. The solicitation is unrestricted. The solicitation will issued on or about 22 Feb 05 with a closing date on or about 29 Mar 05. The solicitation and any/all amendments will be posted on www.fedbizopps and www.neco.navy.mil ; however, paper solicitations will also be posted at the contracting office and will be available.
