Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District is issuing this Sources Sought Announcement to request submissions from HUBZone and Disable Veteran Owned Small Businesses who have the ability to successfully perform the following statement of w ork: The project, entitled Santee Reach Water Transmission Main, consists of the furnishing, installing, and placing into successful operation approximately 13,550 linear feet of 36-inch diameter and smaller water transmission mains in and around the town of Sa ntee, Orangeburg County, SC. This contract includes all valves, appurtenances, roadway and railroad bores, testing, quality control, safety and all other related work. This contract will be the first reach of a regional water system for the Lake Marion R egional Water Agency and will be operated and maintained by the South Carolina Public Service Authority (Santee Cooper). The contractor will be responsible for coordinating work with the Water Treatment Plant contractor as well as any other pipeline contr actors in the area. The Charleston District will use the responses from this sources sought to determine if there is sufficient interest form the HUBZone or Disable Veteran Owned Small Business communities to support a 100% Set-Aside in one of these categories. This is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. Responses are required no later than 15 February 2005. Responses should contain sufficient information to determine the compan y's capability and eligibility for one of the mentioned set-asides. Responses shall be limited to 8 pages. The Government will not pay for any material (nor delivery of such materials) provided in response to this market survey. Information provided will n ot be returned. The results of this survey will be in effect for six months.
