Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quota tions are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W91ZRS-05-Q-0008. This solicitation incorporates the provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. The North Amer ican Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333912, Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. This request is for a Brand Name or Equal version of a Bauer UNICUS III/25-E-3; SCBA Cylinder Recharging Station for U TES located in East Lyme, CT. As a minimum, the following specifications shall be met: the recharging station shall have the ability to refill self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) cylinders with purified air the meets of exceeds the requirements of CGA Pamphlet G-7, Compressed Air for Human Respiration, the requirements of ANSI/CGA G-7.1, Commodity Specification for Air, Grade E, and all other recognized standards for respirable air. The Breathing air station shall be comprised, in part, of a high pressure compressor and purification system, storage system, cascade fill control and a containment fill station. This station shall be designed for a maximum working pressure of 6,000 psig. The breathing air station shall be tested by manufacturer prior to shipment with a copy of the certified manufacturers test report accompanying the station at time of shipment. All documentation associated with the breathing air station shall be supplied and available at time of delivery. The following minimum docu mentation shall be included, an operational manual, spare parts list, warranty information and a startup warranty registration form. In addition to the standard features listed above, the following equipment should be included in the quote: Electronic Ca rbon Monoxide (CO) monitor complete with calibration system wired for alarm and shutdown. Calibration gas should be included. Two (2) additional ASME air storage cylinders with relief valve and mounting clamps 6,000 psi. Quotes shall include delivery, installation,(except electrical hookup). The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible quoter whose quote, conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
