- Description
- The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) currently has a requirement to provide Meteorological Services for the Academy. This sources sought synopsis is part of Market Research as required by FAR Part 10. Results from this sources sought synopsis will be used to aid in acquisition planning for future solicitations. The service requirements for the meteorological service could contain all of the following: mission execution forecast, surface weather observation, weather radar observation, weather forecasting, staff weather briefing, and aircrew flight weather briefing support for the Academy and out lying areas within approximately fifty mile radius of the Academy. It also includes equipment operation, operation of government furnished weather equipment and other meteorological services as needed. All interested business concerns shall indicate interest in this acquisition by providing the company name, mailing address, phone number, and electronic mail address to linett.lomanto@usafa.af.mil no later than 12:00p.m. MST, 16 February 2005. Interested Offerors shall submit information supporting their capability and past performance related to this acquisition. For purposes of this acquisition, the NAICS code being considered is 541990. The anticipated business size is $6.0 million. Small, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Women-owned, Veteran Owned and Service Disabled Veteran Owned businesses are encouraged to submit data. Based on the responses received, the Air Force Academy may conduct one-on-one discussions to further identify potential suppliers of this support. A subsequent synopsis will be issued at a later date to provide solicitation issuance details.
