- This posting was previously located under FA8102-05-R-0012, posting date 19 Oct 2004._ ________________________________________________________________ NA Repair of Embedded Global Positioning System Inertial Nagigation System (EGI), NSN 6605-01-475-3387AW, P/N 897105-0015 and NSN 6605-01-508-8984AW, P/N 897105-0016. A requirements type contract will be issued for a period of 5 years, to include a one year basic contract (FY05) with 4-one year options (FY06-FY09)options. Delivery schedule is 60 days after receipt of reparable. Contract award date is estimated for 15 Dec 2004. Please note that Notes 22 and 26 are applicable to this synopsis. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. 26. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Governement's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. A sole source buy is anticipated to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, Navigation Systems Division
