Description
Question: Room 135  The layout shows a hutch covering the com/sensor boxes on the wall. Is it allowable to cover up the subject boxes? Answer: The Government will relocate the boxes prior to Furniture installation (18 Above the Finished Floor) Question: Room 145  Interior Door (No door was displayed during the site visit) Answer: Propose the item as is. Question: Room 209  Are the walls being moved or is there installation of new wall boards prior to the Furniture installation? Answer: No there is not any Government proposed movement of the walls. Question: Is the prospective offerors to use the existing power/data/com duplexes? Answer: Yes the prospective awardee is to use the existing power/data/com duplexes. Question: Furniture plans show 36 clearance behind the desk space for the desk chairs. We recommend 42  46. Answer: Thirty-six inches is the minimum standard as established by the Uniform Building Code and you may offer an alternate proposal or option which betters this standard which may be considered by the Government. Question: Are the bookcases, mobile pedestals and overhead workstation compartments all steel or may they have a laminate component with steel locks and doors? Answer: The Government prefers steel but may consider laminate components in an alternate proposal. Question: May the side supports for the overhead workstation storage be laminate for mounting purposes? Answer: The side supports may be laminate. Question: Is it mandatory that the overheads (desk vertical storage) be metal? Answer: Laminate material may be considered by the Government in an alternate proposal. Question: Reference section 3.8 page 7. Please advise as to what type of items are being evaluated by the Government. Answer: The Government will evaluate finishes and hardware. Question: Reference page 20 section 3.8. Is the Government interested in tack boards? Answer: A typical workstation shall include a tackable panel beneath the overhead storage. The panel fabric shall meet the requirements in section 2, page 19. Question: Reference page 22. What are the storage lockers and mailbox storage requirements? Answer: Reference Room 218. Three storage lockers are being reused. Reference Room 222. A 32 H storage cabinet with open slot mailbox shelving on top with eighteen slots shall be used. Question: Are any future walkthroughs (site visits) being conducted? Answer: No future site visits shall be conducted.
