Description
The Philadelphia Division, Contracting Department, FISC Norfolk intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the acquisition of support for Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Teleconference (TC) services for all Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) Headquarters units located in Washington, D.C. There are currently 8 VTC rooms, with the expectation to increase by 1 within the next year. This additional system will be a classified VTC system at the security level of SECRET. Currently, teleconferences are conducted in these same rooms, but can take place anywhere there is a phone. The majority of the VTC equipment is Tandberg, but the technician(s) should have a working knowledge of Tandberg, Picture Tel, and Polycom equipment. The VTC units will utilize a commercial, off the shelf (COTS) program that is web based for scheduling. Scheduling, trouble shooting equipment problems, setting up connections with bridges (on and off site) and keeping up with the user maintenance on the equipment will be included as daily duties. Communications equipment is provided by the Government. Services are estimated to commence 1 May 2005 and continue through 30 September 2005, with four, twelve-month option periods. This requirement is set aside 100% for Small Business concerns who qualify under NAICS code 561499 with a size standard of $6,000,000. procurement is being conducted as a Commercial Items acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12, using Subpart 13.5 test program procedures. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will require the submission of price and past performance information.. The RFQ will be made available electronically, upon its release, at http://www.neco.navy.mil. It is imperative that interested parties review the NECO website frequently for any updates and/or amendments. All contractors must be registered (http://www.ccr.gov) in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
