Description

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing approximately 230 feet of bank stabilization work on Bailey Branch in Lafayette County, Mississippi. The principal features of work inclu de clearing and grubbing, debris removal, structural excavation and grading, engineering fabric, R200 riprap, wire mesh gabions, erosion control, temporary project fencing, using the Government-furnished software (RMS) for electronic exchange of informatio n and management of the contract (See Section 01312 QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM), complying with all requirements of Section 01452 MILESTONE COMPLIANCE REVIEW PROCEDURE (MCRP), and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $ 250,000 and $500,000. Plans and specifications will be available at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract/ on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office Web Page. Compact discs and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check the VCCO Web P age often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or about 18 Feb 05. Bid opening date on or about 22 Mar 05, 1430 Hours.
