Description
This Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Hubzone, 8(a) and/or Service Disabled Veteran contractors for this proposed contract. The contract is for the design and construction of a 44,285 SF training building and 825 S F unheated storage building including site (parking/access roads) and possible demolition of existing facilities. Supporting utilities, landscaping and pavement will be included. The project is planned for advertisement in late May 2005 with an approximate award schedule of August 2005. NAICS code is 236220. The estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. 20% of the work is to be self-performed. All interested s mall businesses should reply to this office in writing or by fax by 15 February 2005, 4:30 PM Louisville Local Time. Responses should include (1) Identification and verification of company's Small Business status, (2) Past Experience - Describe up to five (minimum one) completed projects that are similar in size, scope and nature to the proposed project, the percentage of self-performed work and how it was accomplished and provide references (name and number) to verify performance, (3) Capability of obtaini ng performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollar amount listed above listing the surety and bonding company, and (4) a statement verifying the contractor will perform 20% of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: If qualified 8(a), H ubzone or Service Disabled Veteran firms do not respond, this planned contract action may be convered to a full and open competition.
